Fugitive Wanted In NC Found With Stolen Gun, Pills In Atlantic City

Atlantic City police found a wanted man who had a stolen gun and ecstasy, authorities said.

Hakim Clark, 33, of Atlantic City, was arrested on Friday, Mar. 8, the city's police department said in a news release on Tuesday, Mar. 12. An officer stopped Clark while he was walking in the beach block of North Carolina Avenue at around 11:52 a.m.

Clark had two active arrest warrants, including one from North Carolina with extradition back to the state. Police said Clark was "combative" with an officer and gave false information about his identity.

Two other officers arrived at the scene and arrested Clark. He was found with a stolen gun from North Carolina and 10 ecstasy pills.

Clark was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, certain person not to possess a weapon, possession of hollow-point ammunition, hindering apprehension, resisting arrest, receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, refusal to be fingerprinted, and fugitive from justice.

Clark was held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Anyone with information about the incident should call the Atlantic City Police Department at 609-347-5766.
